If you haven't seen the first version of this video... watch it here!
We befriended the bouncers. Mario is to my left. He's a big sweetheart. Check him out to the right though. No one's getting past him.
There's our spot on the carpet. I'm wearing Cole Haan with Nike Air technology for hours of standing & interviewing. It helped. I thought the shoes were a bit daytime so I brought a pair for later.
Do you love the candles suspended from the ceiling inside the tent? We got to hold Oscar!Evian to the red carpet, stat! The lights were hot & Ollin was working hard for the money.
Serene with her crush from Gossip Girl. Me & my friend & coworker Sean. I posed with Chace Crawford too, but I'm hugging him. Don't want to make Robert too jealous... :)
Me & Serene on the red carpet. Do you like the change? In the middle is our view. Eddie, gear & lights.
Oh, what a night,
Hypnotizing, mesmerizing me.
She was everything I dreamed she'd be.
Sweet surrender, what a night!
- Frankie Valli
I'm not really into concert posters. Since meeting me, Robert's been forced to sell most of his beloved posters to buy "real" art. Many posters = one fab piece of art, so I guess I love them in my own way. Means to an end.
Sorry poster fans. I do have a beloved signed George Clooney poster somewhere addressed to me, but it isn't hung up. What does that tell you?
The LaChapelle & other outrageously glamorous works are available at Guy Hepner LA.
I celebrated my first day back on the mend with - what else - shopping! It felt so good to people-watch, have a pomegranite martini at The Whisper Lounge.
I ventured into J Crew & bought some new duds for Robert. (Except for the shirt of the left. It's Gap.) His job is relatively casual so I bought him some shirts that aren't like the shirts he'd wear out. Oh and ties. I haven't bought him any in years. Gasp!
The top photo is my purchases for him. I think both ties work with the middle shirt? The second photo is more true to view. I'll see if he likes them.
Am I the only one who can't handle Abercrombie & Fitch? I don't mind walking by and checking out the models. Always a must. I mind the loud music, too low lighting & heavy cologne. It's like a nightclub trying to hide the dingy decor. Oh, I just got it. It's for teens who aren't old enough to get into clubs yet... living vicariously through A&F. Right?
I'll go take my Geritol now and wash it down with Ensure.
I'm craving some serious prep style. First of all, Robert got a new ride. I don't think I can even force myself to type what he was driving before. Oh, and how his friends delighted in asking me whether he picked me up in it. (No!)
So first, Robert scores an 80's sports car. Then, I open my Nordstrom catalog this month and Sperry Top Siders are all over the place.
Have I told the Sperry story before? When Robert was a child, he wanted Sperry Top Siders like everyone else. Sadly, his mom would only pay for the knockoffs called Bar Harbors. Better something than nothing, right?
On the first day of school, Robert met up with his friend Tim and looked down. "Bar Harbors?" Tim nodded. Best friends to this day.
Here's the most perfectly preppy (in every way) family I know. This was their Christmas photo. Do you love it?
