Got ready for Vampire Weekend's instore at Amoeba with some tunes.
Ran into the lead singer Ezra Koenig while he was looking at CDs. I only recognized him because of the cute preppy sweater he had on from the Letterman performance...
I was close... 2nd row I believe? I got there about 6pm.. about 200 fans didn't make it in... they were stuck waiting outside in the cold :(
The line to meet the band was long... I found a great Stan Getz cd for $5.99!
Robert met up with me at the restaurant across the street - Charcoal.
We went to Good Luck Bar (We keep going by Tiki Ti & it's never open) then Coach & Arms. I had never been to the little dive before. The jukebox was the best part! We took over.
On our playlist? I requested The Specials' Friday Night, Saturday Morning, The Clash's The Magnificent Seven, Stevie Wonder's Superstitious....
That's not Robert, but that guy was really into picking his music & I just like the photo.
Robert took this of me. I was upset he picked AC/DC and Van Halen.
