I totally swiped this off my brother Mafoo's blog.
It made me laugh out loud and who can't use a good laugh?
Oh, I just realized everyone who is not in California hates me now. I'm sorry.
To be fair, he's a New Yorker. I'm sure they have one of these for every state.
Well.... since I have most of the world mad at me right now, let's take it one step further and talk about how Northern California doesn't exist to Southlanders.
This is actually linked to yesterday's post. (More Kanye) Homecoming is his love letter to Chicago after all...

No shame in being proud of where you live!
Remember this New Yorker cover?

that is the coolest cover ever. thanks pete!!! :)
love that it's from the 70s!
LOL, a little dose of land chauvinism can be really healthy and reassuring. I think it is wonderful that you are so fond of where you live, especially if you aren't planning to move. I don't see how anyone can hate you for this post, it is just for fun!
However, your post here really invites to do some debate: according to this graphic's title Californians see America as quite a little continent, right?
You see, what we Europeans don't get about people from the US is how they call their country 'America' as if there was nothing else beyond the Mexican and Canadian borders!
But, what is true is that then we go and call people from the US ‘Americans’ while p.e. someone from Basil is a Brazilian or someone from Mexico a Mexican forgetting that they are also Americans too. Why is that? Mmm, funny...
Well, I think I am just rambling a bit now. Have a nice week Suzanne!
