Chilling Chicano Style

I am in love with Velvet Margarita in Hollywood. I never get enough of Day of the Dead design & this place is over the top. Perfect for a bachelorette party.

It's so dark in there, it's hard to get a shot. In the second photo you can kind of see the trio of dancing marionettes.

Check out the velvet skull paintings, flocked wallpaper and massive chandelier. The tealights illuminate paintings of Al Pacino, Johnny Cash & a number of other pop culture gods.

Velvet walls, naturally.
When you go, don't forget to catch the glittery sombreros on the ceiling.
It's near The Room & Beauty Bar at 1612 N Cahuenga Blvd.

Looks like fun -- e-mails are pouring in asking for more Suzi at WASP 101. Seriously!

Here's the coolest girl in LA having more great fun!!! The place looks really interesting, I like that sort of decoration for a night club.

BTW, thanks for adding my blog among your fave sites!

dios mio mammi! I'm glad you didn't go the chola route, but I'm sure even you could make too much eyeliner hot!
