I saw this photo and a lightbulb went off. I want a True Blood Halloween.
Don't these sweet silver spray-painted pumpkins in this flowery garden scream Sookie? I love the idea of a faerie-inspired entry. All flowers and silver and happiness and then you get to the front door.
The red awning and cheap neon sign. The fun part.
Once you enter the house, endless red candles.
Red flowers, but no cobwebs. Accent the arrangements with plum and black flowers like cosmos.
True Blood is a must, but I'd also serve Merlot and Pinot Noir, as they resemble blood in the most delicious way. Beer for the sexy Jason Stackhouses, Sam Merlottes and werewolves. Can you imagine all the vamps, waitresses, sexy Pams, Lafayette?! I can't stand it.
I'm dying for these cocktails from HBO's web site:
The Fangbanger - Tru Blood + Vodka
Death on the Beach - Tru Blood + Peach Schnapps + Pineapple Juice + VodkaPlasmapolitan - Tru Blood + Citron + Cointreau + Fresh Lime Juice

I haven't seen the show, but I know enough about it to get a general idea of things...the flowery garden does seem like someplace Sookie would be sitting.
My hubby bought home a matchbook from Fangtasia not too long ago. He came across some of their set designers on the job one day. A great score for my coffee table!
