Take It To the Banksy

I'm a little under the weather today, but Robert's gift from our mailman is cheering me up by making me laugh.

I mentioned Robert's been looking to buy a Banksy print, & he really liked this one because of the crazy story behind it.

Banksy has said, “The art world is the biggest joke going.” “It’s a rest home for the overprivileged, the pretentious, and the weak.”

Sotheby’s recently sold seven of his works for an outrageous amount of money. A specialist at Sotheby’s gushed, “He is the quickest-growing artist anyone has ever seen of all time.”

Banksy's response to the Sotheby’s sale was the painting above featuring an auctioneer & bidders, with the caption “I can’t believe you morons actually buy this $***.”

So that's the print Robert chose to buy.

I feel a wee bit better knowing Robert's selling other art to pay for this print.
